OTT film 'Ghooskhor Pandat' embroiled in controversies, NHRC notice to IB Ministry (Photo-X)
TI, New Delhi. In view of the complaint received regarding the name of the upcoming film "Ghooshkhor Pandat" to be released on the OTT platform, the National Human Rights Commission (NHRC) has issued a notice to the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting.
The story of Netflix's crime thriller "Ghooskhor Pandit" revolves around a corrupt police officer. 'Gems of Bollywood' founder Sanjeev Newar has alleged in his complaint that the film contains casteist and discriminatory content. There was no immediate response from Netflix on this.
According to the complaint filed with the National Human Rights Commission on February 3, the name directly links a particular caste with corruption and unethical behavior. The complainant alleged that the title of the film could promote social hostility in a society already sensitive to caste tensions.
Brahmins of Ujjain got angry after seeing the teaser of the film 'Ghooshkhor Pandat'
Brahmins of Ujjain have become furious after the teaser of actor Manoj Bajpayee's film 'Ghooskhor Pandat' was released on the internet. Brahmins have strongly opposed the title of the film. Ujjain's pilgrim priest Pt. Amar Dabbawala has also opposed the film. He said that an attempt is being made to insult the Pandits through the film. The Censor Board should ban films that create disharmony in the society. The film Ghooskhor Pandit has been embroiled in controversies even before its telecast. After Jaipur and Delhi, now controversy has erupted in Ujjain regarding its title.

Pt. Mahesh Pujari, founder of All India Youth Brahmin Samaj, has called the title of the film an insult to Brahmins. He said that the upper caste community is being insulted in the country.
