Samvad Sutra, Alhaganj/Hardoi. A son-in-law killed his father-in-law for not giving him his share in the property. The incident took place in Allahganj, Shahjahanpur, where the father-in-law was returning by bike after offering Prasad with his sister. He also had a revolver in his waist, but the son-in-law who was ambushed on the way killed him by beating him with a stick and fled from the spot. On receiving information about the incident, the CO reached the spot with the force and took stock of the situation.
Former Kotedar Ashok Babu Agnihotri who was a resident of Vikas Nagar of Alhaganj. They have a daughter Lakshmi and son Shyamsundar. Shyamsundar works in Railways. Ashok Babu had married his daughter Lakshmi to Manmohan alias Mannu, resident of village Hathora of Pachdevra, one and a half years ago. Manmohan's family lives in Delhi.
Ashok Babu was the owner of three shops and property along the highway in Alhaganj. Manmohan wanted one of the shops, but Ashok Babu, being a drug addict, did not give him the shop, which led to a dispute. Ashok Babu's daughter Lakshmi was living in her maternal home for the last three months, while Manmohan was in Delhi.
On Tuesday morning, Ashok Babu was returning home with his sister after offering prasad at the temple in Ramtal. His revolver was at his waist. Son-in-law Manmohan, who was already ambushed at Hathuda Mod, stopped Ashok Babu. An altercation started between the two, after which Manmohan attacked Ashok Babu on the head with the stick he had kept earlier. Sister Alka tried to save him, but he was also beaten.
Ashok Babu collapsed on the spot and Manmohan ran away. Alka informed the family members, after which everyone arrived. Ashok Babu's nephew Govind Mishra took him in critical condition to Lohia Hospital in nearby Farrukhabad, but he died there. Govind told that the revolver in uncle's waist was taken out in the hospital. CO Shahabad Alok Raj Narayan reached with the force and took complete information and told that on the basis of the complaint, further action will be taken by registering an FIR.
Nephew was to have tilak
On Tuesday, the tilak of younger brother Kallu's son Bholu was to be applied at home. The wedding procession was to go to Mainpuri on 19th February. There was an atmosphere of happiness in the house. Preparations were going on to welcome the Tilak people. At eight in the morning, information was received on the phone that the son-in-law had murdered the father-in-law. After which there was mourning in the wedding house. The date of Tilak was also extended.
