Problems increased due to water logging and fog on roads, advisory issued for drivers.

These days, it is extremely cold in the state and for the last three days, apart from cold wave at seven places, there is dense fog and at 10 places the temperature is below freezing point. In such a situation, along with the Meteorological Center, an advisory has been issued by the police regarding water logging on the roads and dense fog. Drivers have been asked to drive with more caution in the morning and night.
So that you remain safe and avoid road accidents. Cold wave prevailed in Mandi, Hamirpur, Barthin, Una, Kangra, Bilaspur and Palampur in the state on Saturday also. The minimum temperature has dropped by three degrees.
According to the latest forecast issued by Meteorological Center Shimla, the weather is expected to remain clear till January 16. On Sunday, a warning of dense fog along with cold wave has been issued in six districts of the state, Chamba, Kangra, Bilaspur, Hamirpur, Mandi and Una.
On Saturday, there were light clouds in Shimla and winds kept blowing. Due to this it remained cool even during the day. The maximum drop in minimum temperature in the state was in Una by 3.2 degrees while at other places there was a drop of one or two degrees.
The lowest temperature in the state has been recorded at -10.9 in Kukumseri, -7.9 in Tabo, -3.6 in Kalpa, -1.1 in Manali, -1.0 in Bhuntar, -0.2 in Sundernagar, -0.8 in Reckong Peo, -2.5 in Seubag, -0.3 in Barthin, -0.5 degree in Bajaura. There has been a difference of one to two degrees in the maximum temperature in the state. In some places there has been an increase and in some there has been a decline. The highest temperature in the state was recorded at 21.5 degrees in Bajaura.
