Kashmir buzzes with snowfall
Digital Desk, Srinagar. Snowfall has started in Jammu and Kashmir with the beginning of 'Chilla-e-Kalan'. Due to this, Gulmarg and Sonmarg are covered in white sheets of snow. A large number of tourists are coming here to enjoy this view. This area is going to be a major attraction for the next few days. Cold wave has increased in the hilly areas due to rain and snow. Due to this, traffic has been stopped on many important highways for security reasons. The Srinagar-Leh National Highway and the Mughal Road connecting Poonch to Kashmir have been closed due to snowfall.

According to the Meteorological Department, the minimum temperature may increase further in the coming days. The temperature is expected to drop by 3 to 5 degrees Celsius for four consecutive days.

Air services have also been affected due to snowfall. About 15 flights had to be canceled from Srinagar International Airport on Sunday. At the same time, nine flights coming from Delhi to Jammu were also cancelled.

The maximum temperature in Srinagar was recorded at 6.0 degrees Celsius and the minimum temperature was 4.0 degrees Celsius. In Pahalgam, the maximum temperature was recorded at 5.6 degrees and the minimum temperature was 5.6 degrees. The maximum temperature in Gulmarg was recorded at 3.4 degrees and the minimum temperature was minus 1.5 degrees. The maximum temperature in Jammu was 17.0 and the minimum temperature was 11.5 degrees Celsius.
