Under the Khelo India and Fit India campaign of the Central Government, a two-day Parliamentarian sports competition was inaugurated at the Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose Stadium on Thursday. A large number of players participated on the first day. But the surprising thing is that in the name MP game competition, only the MP of the district was not invited.
Regarding this, Sports Officer Sunil Kumar said that the names of who is to be invited for the competition are decided by the headquarters only. In which the chief guest is Rajya Sabha member Surendra Singh Nagar. MP Ruchi Veera expressed displeasure over not receiving the invitation and said that she will talk to the officers on the matter. Six events were contested on the first day of the competition.
About two thousand players from the district participated in Kabaddi, Badminton, Wrestling, Volleyball, Football and Athletics. Rajya Sabha member Surendra Singh Nagar described this event as an important initiative towards promoting sports. District in-charge Rajesh Yadav said that Sansad Sports Festival is an effective platform to hone the talents of the youth and strengthen the sports spirit.

Chaos in the competition on the very first day
Chaos was seen on the very first day of the competition, which was organized with a budget of Rs 5 lakh. Along with the players, a large number of spectators were present in the field, due to which there was no clear distinction between the players and the spectators. This also created hindrance in the conduct of games many times.
Questions were also raised regarding security and discipline as there was unnecessary movement inside the playing field. Sports lovers said that better management and arrangements were expected in such a big event. If there was a separate place for spectators and a designated area for players, the competition could have been conducted in an organized manner.
This competition takes place in every district in which the district administration allocates the budget. The names of who is to be invited are decided by the headquarters only. We get lists. We invite guests accordingly.
