Chief Minister Vishnu Dev Sai has said that under the leadership of the successful Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the country and the state are continuously progressing towards good governance. Today India has become the fourth largest economy in the world. The role of Pragati Digital Platform is extremely important in realizing the goal of a developed India set by the Prime Minister. This platform is a strong evidence of equality between the words and actions of the government and sets an effective example towards good governance.

The Chief Minister was discussing with journalists today regarding Pragati Portal at New Circuit House in the capital Raipur. He said that Pragati Portal is not only a medium to review the big infrastructure projects of the country, but it is an excellent example of the new work culture of New India. This platform strongly demonstrates the working style of Minimum Government-Maximum Governance.

Chief Minister Sai said that Indian democracy is seen as an ideal system throughout the world. Better coordination, coordination and cooperation between the Center and the states has played an important role behind this. Pragati Platform is acting as an effective bridge between the Central and State Governments for better implementation of various schemes and projects.

Chief Minister Sai said that the meaning of progress is pro-active governance and timely implementation, that is, prior preparation of schemes and ensuring their timely and effective implementation. This platform is not limited to just monitoring, but is a powerful medium to fix accountability in the governance system, increase transparency and bring positive changes in the work culture.

He said that in the past, the foundation stone of many projects was laid, but there was no fixed time limit for their completion. Many construction works remained pending for years. Pragati digital platform was implemented to solve problems like delays in schemes, administrative bottlenecks and lack of departmental coordination.

The Chief Minister said that through the Pragati Portal, the Prime Minister himself holds regular review meetings with the Chief Secretaries of the States and Secretaries of the Central Government. So far, more than 50 high-level progress review meetings have been conducted, through which time bound resolution of pending projects, underperforming schemes and citizen grievances has been ensured.

He informed that so far, more than 3,300 projects worth about Rs 85 lakh crore have been accelerated through the Pragati platform. Along with this, significant improvement has been made in the implementation of 61 schemes including One Nation-One Ration Card, Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana, Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana, PM Swanidhi and Swachh Bharat Mission. Grievance redressal system in 36 sectors including Banking, Insurance, RERA, Jan Dhan Yojana and Matritva Vandana has also been strengthened through Pragati.

The Chief Minister said that Pragati digital platform is also being used effectively in the state of Chhattisgarh. Currently, 99 national infrastructure projects are operational in the state, in which Rs 6.11 lakh crore is being invested. Of these, 50 projects have been completed and operational, while the remaining projects are in progress at various stages. He said that a total of 200 issues related to Chhattisgarh were registered on the Pragati portal, out of which 183 have been successfully resolved.

Thus, the resolution rate of the state has been more than 91 percent. The problems of pending projects in key sectors like power, road transport, railways, coal and steel have been effectively resolved. Talking sector wise, 24 projects were resolved in the power sector. 23 projects of road transport and highways, 14 projects of railways, 07 projects of coal sector, 09 projects of steel sector were resolved.

The Chief Minister said that projects pending for years like modernization of Bhilai Steel Plant and Lara Super Thermal Power Project have gained momentum through the Pragati platform. This has boosted the industrial development of the state and created new employment opportunities for the local youth. Similarly, there were problems related to land utilization and material supply in the four-lane work of Raipur-Codebod road, which were solved through Pragati platform.

Chief Minister Sai said that the Chhattisgarh government is working with full commitment to complete the development works in a timely and transparent manner. Our government has also made many similar innovations in the direction of good governance in Chhattisgarh. Oxford University has also praised this innovation. It has been described as an effective mechanism for developing economies. He said that when the Prime Minister talks about his vision of a developed India, it is not just words, but the entire roadmap of a developed India. This is proved by innovations like Pragati platform.
