In Prayagraj, the Municipal Corporation will issue red cards to shopkeepers who ignore cleanliness rules.

Jagran correspondent, Prayagraj. Three agencies have been deployed to improve the cleanliness system of the city. About 700 metric tons of garbage is collected from the city every day. Even after this, many shopkeepers of the city are not cooperating in maintaining the cleanliness system.

After the sanitation workers leave, shopkeepers throw garbage on the roadside. The corporation will take strict action against shopkeepers who do so. Such shopkeepers will be identified and given red cards.

Legal action will be taken if habits are not improved

If sources are to be believed, 77 shopkeepers of Civil Lines area have been identified by the Municipal Corporation. Red card will reach them within 10 days. If there is no improvement even after that, fine will be imposed. If the shopkeepers do not stop throwing garbage on the road even after being fined, legal action will be taken against them.

What does the Assistant Municipal Commissioner say?

In this regard, Assistant Municipal Commissioner Deepshikha Pandey said that many businessmen of the city are cooperating fully in improving the cleanliness system. There are some people who are bent on doing whatever they want. Strict action will be taken against them including issuing red cards. If everyone does not stop littering on the roads, legal action will be taken against them.
