The administration has now become strict against the illegal clinics, pathology and ultrasound centers that have been operating indiscriminately for years in the Dhamdaha sub-division area. Sub-division officer Anupam has issued instructions to take quick and strict action against medical institutions running without recognition in all the four blocks under the sub-division.
The SDM has ordered all the medical officers in charge to compulsorily submit a detailed review report of the action taken on the illegal clinics, pathology and ultrasound centers identified in their respective areas by 24th. As soon as the instructions were issued, there was a stir in the blocks.
The situation in Bhawanipur is the most serious. The most worrying situation in the sub-division has come to light in Bhawanipur block, where more than two and a half dozen illegal clinics, pathology and ultrasound centers have been operating openly for years.
The shocking thing is that many of these fake institutions have been flourishing around CHC Bhawanipur for a long time, despite this no concrete action has been taken till now. Local people say that these institutions, running without registration, without qualified doctors and necessary resources, are flouting the rules and playing with the health of the common people. This situation also raises questions on administrative monitoring.
Due to illegal medical institutions, people of rural and town areas are getting confused and are becoming victims of wrong treatment. In many cases, patients are facing serious health risks along with financial loss. Despite this, lack of action against them remained a matter of concern for years.

If the orders are strictly followed, the general public can get great relief with the improvement in the health system.
