Rahul Gandhi Indore Visit LIVE: Rahul Gandhi Met The Families Of The Victims In Bhagirathpura, Handed Over A Check Of Rs 1 Lakh, Also Visited Bombay Hospital.

Rahul Gandhi reached Bhagirathpura Basti in Indore, gave a check of Rs 1 lakh to the victim's family.

Leader of Opposition in Lok Sabha Rahul Gandhi reached Indore on Saturday to meet the people affected by the Bhagirathpura contaminated water incident and the relatives of the deceased. First of all he went to meet the people admitted in Bombay Hospital. 5 to 6 patients are currently admitted in Bombay Hospital. Along with Rahul Gandhi, Digvijay Singh, State President Jitu Patwari, Leader of Opposition Umang Singar also reached the hospital. Rahul Gandhi stayed in the hospital for about 15 minutes. Here he met the patients and inquired about their well-being.

Rahul went to the house of deceased Geetabai-Jeevan.

After here Rahul Gandhi left for Bhagirathpura colony. Here he is meeting the families of the victims. Rahul Gandhi first reached the house of deceased Geeta Bai in Bhagirathpura and met her family members and consoled them. After this he reached the house of deceased Jeevan Mali on foot. Jeevan Mali's sister-in-law met Kamla Bai, she is hard of hearing.

Rahul Gandhi asked him how are you. Rahul Gandhi also handed over a check of Rs 1 lakh each to the family members of deceased Geetabai and Jeevan. During this time, he got a little angry after being troubled by the pushing and shoving of the crowd.

Apart from this, he reached Sanskar Garden to meet the family of 5 month old Avyan and other affected families. Rahul Gandhi is sitting here and discussing with the families of the victims. During the conversation, Rahul Gandhi picked up a child in his lap and caressed it. During this, Congress workers also raised slogans of Ghanta-Minister resign.

Congress will also announce financial assistance of Rs 1 lakh each to the families of all the 24 deceased who lost their lives in the contaminated water incident.

Security agencies are alert in view of the narrow streets of Bhagirathpura. Other security agencies including CRPF have objected to entry due to security reasons. On Friday, security officials visited the colony and took stock of the situation.

On Rahul Gandhi's arrival, he was welcomed at the airport by senior Congress leaders Digvijay Singh, Sajjan Singh Verma, Kantilal Bhuria, Satya Narayan Patel and Umang Singhar. National President of Youth Congress Uday Bhanu Chib also reached Indore. Congress workers were seen outside the airport carrying placards of 'Justice' in their hands.

Congress alleges that BJP is hiding the victims' families.

Congress plans to have Rahul Gandhi meet the relatives of all the 24 deceased. For this, all the families will be gathered in the garden located near Bhagirathpura police post. Congress has alleged that BJP leaders are applying pressure and getting the families whom Rahul Gandhi is going to meet removed from the area. Congress claims that BJP does not want to allow Rahul Gandhi to meet the victims' families. The family of six-month-old deceased Avyan has also locked the house and gone somewhere.
