Railways sent notification, discount on ticket booking will be available from today; Cashback of Rs 20 on payment through BHIM UPI
New Delhi. Now booking railway tickets will be cheaper. But there is a condition in this. You have to book the ticket through the Indian Railways application. Train passengers can avail discount on train tickets by booking unreserved tickets using any digital payment mode through the RailOne app. If you use Railvan app, you must have also received a notification. Information about discount and cashback is given in the notification.
3% discount on ticket booking starts from today
3 percent discount on ticket booking has started from January 14. This discount will be available only to those users who book tickets without reservation through the RailOne app. This discount will also be available on platform tickets. If you book tickets for the platform through RailOne app, you will get a discount of 3 percent. Cashback will also be available along with discount. If you pay through BHIM UPI, you will get a discount of up to Rs 20.
The notification on the RailOne app read - "Get 3% discount/cashback on booking unreserved and platform tickets. Get additional cashback up to Rs. 20 on payments made through BHIM UPI." That is, from today, Indian Railways has started giving two types of offers to IRCTC users. If you travel by train daily with a general ticket, then this offer can be of great use to you.
You will get discount on booking through RailOne App only.
3% discount on ticket booking will be available on Railvan app only. RailOne is an official app of Indian Railways that brings together multiple services previously spread across different platforms into a single, user-friendly interface. Instead of switching between different apps for unreserved tickets, PNR status, live train status, food delivery or grievance redressal, passengers can now manage their entire journey within RailOne. The app also allows users to log in using existing railway credentials, making switching from the old platform to the new platform easy and hassle-free. RailOne is available on both Android and iOS platforms.
