Rajasthan: Van And Car Collide In Sriganganagar, SHO Jyoti Nayak Dies

Digital Desk, New Delhi. An Inspector Jyoti Nayak was killed and two others were injured when a police van and a car collided in Rajasthan's Sriganganagar district this morning. The incident took place around 4 am near Durga Mandir area, where Mahila Police Station SHO Jyoti Nayak had gone on patrol along with a constable.

SHO Jyoti Nayak suffered serious head injuries when the van overturned after colliding with a car near the city's famous Durga temple in the early morning. According to the police officer, three people, including the driver, were admitted to the hospital, where doctors declared SHO Nayak brought dead.

Wave of mourning in police administration

As soon as the news of the untimely death of Mahila police station in-charge Jyoti Nayak was received, a wave of mourning ran in the police administration of the entire district. As soon as information about the accident was received, all the senior officials of the district including the Superintendent of Police reached the district hospital. Officials have described the incident as an irreparable loss for the department.

In the horrific road accident, the woman police station in-charge has lost her life, but a colleague and the driver of the car have also been seriously injured. The injured were immediately taken to the district hospital where they are undergoing treatment. Heavy police force has been deployed to monitor the condition of the injured in the hospital. The team of doctors is busy providing better treatment to the injured.
