Taking prompt action, the police arrested one accused and sent him to judicial custody.

Sadar Forest sub-divisional police officer Dilip Kumar said that the arrested accused is Jitendra Chaurasia, a resident of Senwal village of Paharpur police station. DSP told that Jitendra had called a woman from Turkaulia police station to attend his sister's birthday party.
A four-wheeler was also sent to bring the woman, on which the woman was coming to Chhatauni with her two-year-old child. On the way, Jitendra also boarded him and brought him to a rented house in Chhatauni, where he was fed a feast.
Intoxicant was added to the food, due to which the woman became unconscious. After that he raped her and ran away. When the woman regained consciousness, she was half naked and then called her husband and reached the police station where she narrated her ordeal to the police.
Apart from Jitendra, in the application given to the police, the woman has also accused Prakash Yadav, a resident of Babariya village of Majhauliya police station in West Champaran. Prakash has been accused that he was traveling ahead of the four-wheeler and it was he who had taken the room.
