Jagran correspondent, Gurugram. A case of misbehavior with a girl has come to light against a Rapido cab driver in Gurugram. The girl circulated its video on the internet media. He alleged that the driver dropped him from the car on the beach road and started abusing him. The girl also alleges that when she reached the nearest police station to take action in the case, there too she was pressurized not to register an FIR.
A video of this incident was posted on Instagram by a profile named Star Girl. In the bio of this profile, the girl has described herself as a digital creator. In the video circulated by the girl, she is seen arguing with the driver. In the video, she says, “Rapido, how do you hire a driver? This man asked them to get down from the car in the middle of the road and misbehaved with them. Her hands are trembling, but she will complain against it.
In the second part of the video the girl narrated the entire incident. According to him, this incident took place on December 15. She said she was returning home from work and had booked a Rapido cab. At that time the driver was playing music at loud volume while she was talking on the phone. The girl asked the driver to reduce the volume of the music, but he did not listen to her. When asked for the third time, the driver became angry and started abusing. The girl said that it was wrong to talk to a passenger like this, after which the driver asked her to drop him in the middle of the road. It is alleged that the driver deliberately turned the vehicle in the other direction and tried to scare.
After much persuasion, she stopped the car, but as soon as she got down, the driver also came out. Due to which she became more scared. The girl immediately called the police and reached the police station. He alleges that there too he had to face trouble and was pressurized not to file an FIR. But he did not give up and lodged a complaint. Later she also went to court with her parents.
FIR lodged on the same day of the incident
On getting information about the video, it was found that this incident took place from Bakhtawar Chowk to Artemis Hospital Road in Sector 50 police station area. The girl's name is Komal and she is a resident of Sushant Lok 3. In this case, Sector 50 police station in-charge Inspector Sukhbir Kumar said that after the incident the girl had called the police control room. Police ERV had reached the spot. After this, FIR was also registered on the complaint of the girl. The accused cab driver has also been arrested. The cab driver was identified as Pankaj Kumar, a resident of Behari Maharajpur village in Rohtak. Gurugram Police is serious about the safety of women.
