Runner Ashish Kasodekar Reaches Lucknow After Running From Arunachal, Giving Message Of Health And Environment

Jagran correspondent, Lucknow. Runner Ashish Kasodekar, who was running from Arunachal Pradesh with the message of health awareness and environmental protection, reached Lucknow on Monday.

He has so far covered a distance of two thousand kilometers under the nationwide running campaign ‘Dawn-2-Dusk’. He started this campaign on 24 November from Dong Valley of Arunachal Pradesh.

Ashish reached Lucknow from Arunachal Pradesh via various districts of Assam, West Bengal and Bihar. On an average, he is running about 60 kilometers every day. He will complete his campaign on January 26 at Gohar Moti in Kutch, Gujarat.

He told that we will cover a distance of about 3,500 kilometers from Dong Valley to Gujarat. Six states of the country are included in this yatra. Under this campaign, Trees for the Himalayas initiative has been launched in collaboration with Grow Trees Foundation.

Under this, 76 thousand saplings will be planted in Uttarkashi, Uttarakhand. Earlier in the year 2023, Ashish had covered a distance of 4,003 kilometers from Kuttanad in Kerala to Umling La Pass in Ladakh.
