On Monday night, a mother and son were murdered with a sharp weapon while sleeping in the market of Madihan police station area, about 300 meters away from the police station. After this the body was thrown into the canal. Along with recovering the body of the woman, the police are detaining one of the accused and interrogating her. The reason behind the incident is said to be a land dispute.
Mother and son murdered with sharp weapons
Ayush Gupta, 32-year-old son of late Premchand Gupta, resident of Bazaar, and his 62-year-old mother Usha Gupta slept in the verandah of the house at night. Both of them were murdered with sharp weapons in the middle of the night. After this, the body was taken and thrown into a canal about two hundred meters away. At around four in the morning, people in the market informed the police after seeing blood near the canal and on the road. When the police reached the canal, they saw Usha's dead body lying in the water. He was taken out, although Ayush's body has not been found yet. Search for him is going on
Premchand had married twice
Police station in-charge Balmukund Mishra told that deceased Ayush's father Premchand had married twice. He had a son Rahul and daughter Gunja from his first wife, while Usha had two daughters and a son Ayush from his second wife. After Premchand's death, both of them fought several times over property and the land dispute reached the tehsil. Premchand has a building material shop. It was run by AYUSH.
On the basis of suspicion, the police are detaining and interrogating Rahul Gupta, son of Premchand's first wife. Forensic team in-charge Vinay Kumar Rai reached the spot and collected evidence.
