Varun Trivedi, Gurugram. The Saras Livelihood Fair to be held at Laser Valley Ground, Sector 29 of Cyber City is ready with spectacular cultural programs and tight security arrangements. After the tragic incident in Surajkund, the district administration has made tight security arrangements.
The main focus of the fair is on "Making of Lakhpati Didi", while the fair management has made it clear that the safety of all the visitors and those running Didi's stalls is of utmost importance. Strict security arrangements have been made in collaboration with Gurugram Administration and Police. More than 300 CCTV cameras have been installed throughout the fair complex, and a central control room has been set up to keep an eye on them.

Security personnel have also been deployed to take immediate action in case of any emergency. A welcome pavilion and registration counter has been built in the campus. A help desk and lost and found counter have also been created, where visitors can lodge their complaints, suggestions or feedback.

This fair is mainly organized to show and sell the products of Lakhpati Didi. The focus here is on cultural events rather than large commercial entertainment venues, allowing people to enjoy Indian folk culture while shopping. Rural Livelihood Missions of different states are presenting their traditional dance and cultural performances.
Visitors get a chance to witness Bihu of Assam, Gidda and Bhangra of Punjab, and folk dances of Maharashtra and Tamil Nadu. On Saturday at 6:30 pm, famous singer Shibani Kashyap will entertain the audience with her songs. This diversity and safe environment make this fair different from other events.

From bangles to idols, Lakhpati Didis shine: Saras Mela showcases a unique glimpse of handicrafts, traditional food products, organic materials and folk culture. Women of self-help groups across the country are not only making a name for themselves with their skills but are also becoming economically empowered.
Visitors from Uttar Pradesh are making stunning chokers, rings, beaded bangles, hair clips, bracelets, earrings and necklaces. After completing LLB, she joined the Rural Livelihood Mission and formed a self-help group. He has won about 20 awards. Earrings, necklaces, anklets and decorative items are the center of attraction at Lakhpati Didi Mamta's stall.
Sushila of Odisha makes idols of Lord Krishna, Radha, Jagannath, Saraswati, Ganesha and Lakshmi. It takes three to four days to complete one idol. His sculptures are very popular. Rama Devi of Telangana makes carpets and bedsheets. She has been coming to Saras Mela for the last 25 years. Their products are very popular.
The Ministry of Rural Development organizes regular Saras Melas to empower rural women and provide national market for their products. The Ministry works closely with State Rural Livelihood Missions of 24 States and different Union Territories to provide a larger market for handicrafts, handlooms and food products produced by Lakhpati Didis.
