We are talking about the city forest being developed in the Arboretum of CBganj. This ambitious project has received in-principle consent to promote eco-tourism. Eco friendly cafeteria will be developed at a cost of Rs 10 crore. A park will also be developed for children.

Along with the Forest Department, Tourism Department, Bareilly Development Authority and Municipal Corporation will also participate. There is very little forest area in the district, but the Arboretum of CBganj adjacent to the city has been preserved in an area of ​​30 hectares. In this, trees of species found in Sri Lanka including Sandalwood, Rudraksha, Kewda, Shaal are available.

Various species of bamboo are also available. Forest Minister Dr. Arun Kumar himself has taken the initiative to develop this forest area as eco-tourism by preserving the rare species of trees of the British era. According to the blueprint drawn so far after brainstorming at the level of high officials, tree houses will be built at various places which will increase the curiosity of the tourists.

Wooden houses will be built on top of trees at many places. In this, tourists will be able to spend time with their relatives. In this, paths will be prepared for people to walk. A garden of herbal and medicinal plants will be developed. So that people can easily identify the ancient trees and get information about them, detailed information will be written on those trees.

Selfie points will be made

Selfie points will be made. A kids play area will also be created for children to play. Under the direction of the Chief Forest Conservator, centers for research and training on flora will also be developed here. The special thing will be that concrete construction will not be done on the forest area land. No tree will be cut.

The Forest Minister has directed the Forest Department to prepare the DPR by involving the Municipal Corporation, BDA and Tourism Department in this project. It is claimed that everything is going well, DPR is being prepared. Looking at the activeness of the Forest Minister, it is believed that the project will get off the ground soon.

The proposal to build a zoo could not get approval

A few years ago, a proposal was made to build a zoo in the forest area of ​​CB Ganj, but it could not be approved due to non-availability of required space. In the past years, Miyawaki Forest was developed here. Now the process of developing the city forest has started. This can prove to be a milestone in the direction of preserving rare species of trees and promoting tourism. The work of Nath Corridor is already going on, the concept of connecting tourism with faith through Nagar Van will also be strengthened.

The Nagar Van project has received in-principle consent in the meeting of UP Eco Tourism. An action plan has been made to materialize the project at a cost of Rs 10 crore. Apart from the Forest Department, Tourism Department, BDA and Municipal Corporation will also participate in this. DPR is being prepared. Soon the process will be completed and the DPR will be sent to the government.

Development of city forest in CBganj will boost tourism. Tourists will be able to spend time here with their relatives. Apart from strolling in the natural environment, people will also find a suitable place for doing yoga and meditation. In this, every possible effort will be made by the Tourism Department to promote eco-tourism.
