Jagran correspondent, Mathura. In view of the increasing cold wave and dense fog in the district, school holidays have been extended. District School Inspector Ravindra Singh has issued orders to postpone the educational work from nursery to class 12 in all the board-affiliated schools of the district from January 6 to 8.

This decision has been taken on the instructions of the District Magistrate after the Meteorological Department warned of extreme cold and zero visibility. A warning has also been given of strict action against the Principal of the school concerned for not strictly following the order.

This is the weather condition of Mathura

Even though the temperature on Monday was two and a half degrees Celsius higher than on Sunday, the cold wave and thaw made people feel the coldest of this season. When the cold showed its eyes to the sun, they remained hidden in the clouds the whole day. Went out for some time, but then hid in the clouds. The situation was such that everyone was suffering from cold. After being equipped with warm clothes, I was shivering from my body. Children and elderly people remained hiding under the quilt. The animals and birds also appeared distraught. To protect from cold, bonfires and room heaters kept burning in homes and shops throughout the day.

The minimum temperature on Sunday was 5.04 degrees Celsius. The cold remained severe after evening. There was a haze of fog on Monday morning. People woke up from their sleep and when they came out, the cold wind made them shiver. Warm clothes were put on the body. Children and elders remained hidden under the quilt for a long time. Sun God did not come out for a long time. Melting was also more than other days. The body was shivering due to the icy wind blowing at a speed of 10 kilometers per hour. At 3 o'clock in the afternoon the Sun God emerged, but after some time he hid himself in the clouds.
