Digital Desk, New Delhi. The security arrangements in the capital have been tightened to an unprecedented level for the Republic Day celebrations. This time, Delhi Police and intelligence agencies are on high alert to ensure that no mistakes are made during the parade and related programs.
The security cordon has been designed in such a way that every activity can be monitored. According to sources, about five thousand CCTV cameras are being installed on the parade route and its surrounding areas.
Apart from this, around 20 thousand policemen will be deployed in and around the venue of the ceremony, while 12 thousand soldiers have been given the responsibility of security at major and sensitive places in Delhi.
Along with this, vigil has been increased on all the borders adjoining the border states. Temporary restrictions will also be in place in the airspace of the capital's Indira Gandhi International Airport during January 26 and Beating Retreat.
Strictness on bringing goods
Spectators coming to watch the parade have been advised to bring minimum luggage. To ease the security check, only identity card, mobile phone, important documents and small water bottle will be allowed.

Due to security reasons, handbags, knives, blades, any sharp objects, fireworks, selfie sticks, cigarettes, matchsticks, lighters, power banks, laser lights, drones and professional cameras will not be allowed to be taken to the parade venue without permission. Action will be taken against those who violate the rules.
The administration has appealed to the common citizens to cooperate by following the guidelines, so that the Republic Day celebrations can be conducted in a peaceful and safe manner.
