Samvad Sutra, Jagran, Nagal, (Saharanpur). Mehboob son of Majeed, resident of village Badhedi Koli, has lodged a complaint on the Chief Minister Portal, alleging that he was cheated in the name of getting a job abroad.
Victim Mehboob told that Shahrukh is from his own village who works as a ferryman in Chandigarh Housing Board. Through him he met an agent who works to send money abroad. According to the victim, the agent had assured to send his son Mohsin to Malaysia for the work of gas stove fitting and had demanded Rs 2.5 lakh for this.
It is alleged that on August 20, the agent took a cash advance of Rs 80 thousand and also got the conditions written on a stamp, in which it was promised to get the company's permit as soon as it landed from the airport. It is alleged that on August 31, Rs 20,000 was taken online in the name of a flight ticket and after booking a ticket for Bangkok, it was said that it would be sent to Malaysia from there.
Even after reaching Bangkok on September 2, the agent asked for another Rs 29,500, but did not book the flight ticket to Malaysia. Instead, the Malaysia border was crossed illegally by road. The victim told that after a few days, on September 6, another Rs 20,000 was taken.
On reaching Malaysia, when the border was stamped, it was found out that his visa was a tourist visa, the validity of which was also about to expire. Even after this the agent ordered 20 thousand more rupees online. After realizing the fraud, somehow the ticket was booked and the son was called back to India on 20th September.
The victim alleges. That despite the total amount being paid to the agent till now, he has returned only Rs 7 thousand and is clearly refusing to return the remaining amount. The victim Mehboob told that he is ill and is in dire need of money for treatment.
