Digital Desk, New Delhi. Congress MP Shashi Tharoor, whose relationship with the party now seems to be reaching such a point from which it is difficult to return. Tharoor once again attended the party meeting on Tuesday afternoon. This meeting was held at former President Sonia Gandhi's Delhi home in preparation for next week's Parliament session, in which the Union Budget will be presented and BJP will be asked questions on the G-RAM-G Employment Guarantee Scheme.
Current party president Mallikarjun Kharge, Sonia Gandhi and Rahul Gandhi were present in this meeting held in Delhi. Also there were senior leaders like P Chidambaram, Jairam Ramesh, Pramod Tiwari and Manish Tiwari.
Tharoor did not attend Congress meeting
According to NDTV, Shashi Tharoor is abroad, and will return tonight after attending the Literary Festival in Dubai. According to sources, he had informed the party about his absence. This is the second time in the last four months that Tharoor has skipped the party's top level meeting.

Last week, he did not participate in the meeting held to discuss the assembly elections to be held in Kerala in April. Tharoor is the Congress Lok Sabha MP from state capital Thiruvananthapuram.

Will Tharoor move to CPIM?
Amid rumors of Shashi Tharoor leaving Congress, speculations started about his joining CPIM. When asked on this, he said that I have seen the news, but I will not comment. Meanwhile, senior CPIM leader MV Govindan dismissed any talk of Tharoor joining the party as speculation.
