The Police Commissioner terminated the services of SI on Monday evening in connection with the case of taking bribe from Ambala businessman.

In the case of taking bribe from Ambala businessman, the Police Commissioner on Monday evening terminated the services of SI and also suspended the then Dhauj police station in-charge Naresh Kumar. Anti Vigilance Bureau Ambala on Friday arrested the SI appointed at Dhauj police station while taking a bribe of Rs 1.5 lakh.
In his complaint, the businessman had also accused the station in-charge Naresh Kumar of taking Rs 15 lakh. Earlier the Police Commissioner had only given a line appearance to Naresh Kumar. On which Dainik Jagran had published the news on Monday questioning the decision of the Commissioner. In which it was told that the sarpanch of 10 villages under Dhauj police station had given a complaint against the police station in-charge two months before the commissioner.
No action was taken regarding that also. It was also told that Al Falah University also comes under Dhauj police station area, where white-collar terrorists flourished and explosive materials were collected during Naresh Kumar's tenure as police station in-charge and teenage children were being brainwashed under the guise of an illegally built madrassa in Dhauj village. Despite this, no action was taken against Naresh Kumar.
The businessman had given a complaint to the ACB
Businessman Manoj Kumar, living in Professor Colony, Kurukshetra, had given a complaint to Ambala ACB saying that his Nexa GPS and Product is owned by OPC private company. From November 2023, his company is working on installing GPS in vehicles. On November 8, Rahul, a resident of Dhauj police station, had filed a complaint against him. In which the police arrested Nafees, an employee of his company.
After which police station in-charge Naresh Kumar was threatening to arrest the female employees of his company also. In lieu of this, Rs 15 lakh was also taken from Manoj. Now SI Sumit Kumar had demanded Rs 1.5 lakh for not presenting the challan in the court in the same case. ACB arrested the SI on Friday while taking Rs 1.5 lakh.
SI was on probation period
Sub-Inspector Sumit Khiridaula, who was caught in the bribery case, was a resident of Gurugram. He was recruited in Haryana Police in 2022. Was currently on probation period. According to police spokesperson Yashpal, following the policy of zero tolerance, the Police Commissioner has taken action against both of them. For the first time, the service of a sub-inspector caught in a bribery case has been terminated.
