There was a huge explosion at a short distance from the yatra site, the sound of which was heard for several kilometers. At least one person has died in this horrific accident, while many people are said to be seriously injured. The injured people were immediately admitted to nearby hospitals. The condition of some remains critical, due to which the death toll is feared to increase.

The intensity of the blast was so high that the walls and roofs of many nearby houses were damaged. Many families had to leave their homes temporarily. Local people are demanding immediate compensation and rehabilitation from the administration.
