Snow storm warning in 8 districts of Himachal
Digital Desk, Shimla. After three months of drought in Himachal Pradesh, there was a sudden change in the weather on Friday and there was heavy snowfall. The first snowfall of this season is also occurring in the higher reaches of the state, which also includes Manali, another famous tourist destination of the state.

The local weather center has predicted several rounds of moderate snowfall, some heavy snowfall and a few snow storms in parts of Chamba, Kangra, Kinnaur, Kullu, Lahaul-Spiti, Mandi, Shimla and Sirmaur during the next few hours. Also, there is a possibility of moderate thunderstorm/lightning and strong wind (40-50 kmph) at some places in Una, Bilaspur and Hamirpur districts.
According to the Meteorological Department, there is a possibility of strong wind (30-40 kmph) at isolated places in Kullu, Shimla and Chamba districts. At the same time, there is a possibility of strong wind (30-40 kmph) at some places in Kinnaur and Lahaul-Spiti districts.
Shimla administration has issued an advisory asking people not to drive until the weather clears. The administration said that there is snowfall in the higher reaches of the district, due to which the Chopal-Deha road has been closed.
