Jagran Team, Pithoragarh. The weather became pleasant on Friday. There was rain in low lying areas and snowfall in higher altitude areas including the higher Himalayas. The first snowfall of the season also occurred on the peaks of Chandak, Chaukodi, Thalkedar of Munsiyari, Pithoragarh city.

On the other hand, there was snowfall in Darma and Vyas of Dharchula. There has been heavy snowfall in Lipulekh, Navidhang, Om Parvat Kalapani, Gunji, Navi, Kuti, etc. along with Kailash and Darma. About 5 inches of snowfall occurred in Khaliya, 4 inches in Kalamuni, 3 inches in Balati, more than 2 inches in Munsiyari. As snowfall continues, there are chances of closure of Thal Munsiyari road.
