A class IV student returning home from school was attacked by a pack of dogs in Kirari village on Thursday. The dogs bit the student's leg. When the student tried to escape, she fell down. During this time one of his hands was also broken. The victim's family alleges that earlier a complaint had been given to MCD Rohini Zone regarding ferocious dogs, but no action was taken in time. After this accident, there is a lot of anger among the local people towards the corporation.
Neighboring people reached the spot and chased away the dogs.
12-year-old victim Kavya Sharma lives with her parents in Kirari village. Who studies in fourth class in a nearby private school. The victim's family told that their daughter was returning home from school as usual.
Suddenly a pack of stray dogs attacked him in the street at some distance from his house. First the dogs bit her on the leg, and when her daughter tried to escape, she fell down on her hand. Due to which his hand got fractured, while there were deep wounds on his leg. After the incident, nearby people reached the spot and chased away the dogs.
Demanded immediate action from Municipal Corporation
The relatives immediately took the injured girl to the nearest hospital, where her treatment is going on. According to doctors, the girl's condition is currently stable. The victim's family told that their daughter goes to school on foot every day. He has demanded the administration to immediately control the increasing number of abandoned dogs in the area.
Local people say that the number of abandoned dogs is continuously increasing in Kirari area, due to which it has become difficult for children and elderly people to go out. People have demanded immediate action from the Municipal Corporation on this problem.
Dogs have attacked three children in six months
This is the fourth incident of dog attack in six months. Before the incident that took place in Kirari village on Thursday, on November 24, a six-year-old child playing in the street in Prem Nagar, Kirari was attacked by a pit bull. In this attack, the dog had bitten off the child's ear. Meanwhile, on June 30, a six-year-old girl was bitten by a dog in Pooth Kalan.
Later the girl died during treatment. After this, on July 23, a four-year-old child returning from Anganwadi in Alipur was attacked by a pack of dogs. The child has suffered serious injuries on his face. Local people saved him and took him to the hospital.
