Street dogs seen scratching skulls in Surya Enclave of Jalandhar
Jagran correspondent, Jalandhar. There was panic in Surya Enclave area of Jalandhar when people saw dogs on the road scratching a skull-like object. Passers-by and local people immediately chased away the dogs from there and took possession of the suspicious object and informed the police.
As soon as information about the incident was received, Rama Mandi police station swung into action. On receiving the information, ACP Central Ajay Kumar, in-charge of Rama Mandi police station and the forensic team reached the spot. The police inspected the incident site closely and took the skull-like object into safe custody. After this, the surrounding area was also searched so that any other suspicious object or clue could be detected.
ACP Ajay Kumar said that at present it is not clear whether the recovered item belongs to a human being or an animal. This will be known only after forensic investigation and lab report comes. He said that the police is investigating the matter from every aspect and footage of nearby CCTV cameras is also being viewed.
