Jagran correspondent, Gorakhpur. In the insurance fraud case, the police on Sunday arrested three accused including the director of Vidyavati Hospital located in Khorabar. In the afternoon, all three were presented in the court, from where they were sent to jail. It is alleged that all of them, along with the operators of Decent Hospital located at Taramandal, used to prepare documents in the name of fake patients and get treatment claims passed from insurance companies.
The arrested accused have been identified as Indresh Yadav, resident of Pachohan, Uruva Bazaar, Aman Yadav alias Gaurav, resident of Shahpur Mehnapur Sonwa Tola and Abhishek Sharma alias Honey Sharma, resident of Saraswatipuram Lane Number 3. According to the police, Indresh Yadav used to run Vidyavati Hospital on Khorabar Bypass.
Analysis of the case registered at Ramgarhtal police station has revealed that the accused used to show the hospitalization of such patients in the papers, who in reality never came for treatment.
Complete details of treatment, medicines and tests were prepared in these fake files. After this, on the basis of these documents, claims were passed from the insurance companies and the money was embezzled. In this case, Ramgarhtal police station has already sent six accused including the director and doctor of Decent Hospital to jail.
Now after the name of Vidyavati Hospital has surfaced, there are indications of further spread of the network. Police are investigating the bank accounts, mobile call details and transactions of the accused. SP City Abhinav Tyagi said that action is being taken by identifying the people involved in fraud related to insurance claims.
