SSP reached Mudera Garhwa ward of Nagar Panchayat Pipraich. Awakening
Dialogue thread, Pipraich. After Class 11 student Sudhir Bharti was shot dead in broad daylight, the situation went out of control because the police reached the spot an hour after the incident. Despite receiving information about the incident which took place just one kilometer away from the police station area, people became angry as the force did not arrive on time. The situation became so bad that the angry family members and villagers took the body from the spot to their home on a bike.
As soon as the news of firing in the playground of Cooperative Inter College spread around 1:15 pm on Friday, students, teachers and local people gathered at the spot. People kept calling the police, but neither siren was heard nor any police vehicle was seen. There was absence of police on the spot for about an hour. Meanwhile, the crowd kept increasing and the anger started turning violent.
When the police reached the spot, people's anger was at its peak. Policemen cited the closure of the railway crossing as the reason for the delay. Later the officials also said that due to a program being held in the Jangaltinkoniya area, there was duty, due to which the force was divided. However, the local people rejected this explanation outright. The villagers say that if the police had arrived on time, the body would not have had to be taken on the road nor would the situation have gone out of control.
The delay not only increased the anger but also challenged the law and order. Sending the body for post-mortem became the biggest challenge for the police. Even a vehicle was not available to carry the body. The situation became such that the police had to carry the body on foot for 50 meters. After this, arrangements were made for an auto, but as soon as the body was placed in the auto, angry people blocked the road near the Hanuman temple.

When we somehow proceeded from there, there was protest again at Chungi Tiraha. After this the body was stopped again at Ramlila Maidan. Everywhere people were asking the same question, where was the police for an hour? During this time the police was seen completely on the back foot. Efforts were made to convince, but people were not ready to allow the dead body to be forcibly taken away. Only after calling additional forces and intervention of senior officers, the police could finally take possession of the body and send it for post-mortem.
