Jagran correspondent, Hansi. One of the accused, arrested during the investigation of the murder case of retired Panchayat Secretary and property dealer Subhash Malik in the office located in Hooda Sector-6, opened fire on the police during the recovery of the weapon.

In retaliation, the accused was shot in the leg. The injured accused has been admitted to the hospital. CIA Hansi had arrested two accused in the case. Of these, Mahendra was taken near Shekhpur to recover the weapon used in the crime.

According to the police, during the spotting, the accused suddenly picked up the hidden weapon and fired at the police team. After this he started trying to run away from the spot. The police team warned the accused to stop, but he ignored it and continued running.

In self-defense, Mahendra was shot in the leg in retaliatory firing by the police, due to which he got injured. The injured accused was immediately taken to the hospital, where his treatment is ongoing. Police said that further legal action is being taken in the matter as per rules. Investigation into other aspects of the Subhash Malik murder case is also going on.
