Jagran correspondent, Gorakhpur. Police have exposed the incident of shooting dead 11th class student Sudhir Bharti alias Bhola in the playground of Cooperative Inter College on December 26. The joint team of Pipraich and Crime Branch arrested five accused, including a minor, involved in this sensational incident and recovered the 7.65 mm pistol, a 315 bore pistol and a bike used in the murder from their possession. The accused were produced in the court in the afternoon from where they were sent to jail.
SP North Gyanendra Kumar said that the arrested accused include Dayanand alias Chhotu, Hrithik Roshan alias Roshan, Uday alias Kishan Kumar, Deepak and a child molester. Dayanand, Hrithik and Uday were caught by the police near Koni Tirahe around 1:30 am on Monday night, while Deepak and the child molester were arrested from Subhash Nagar on Tuesday morning.
All the accused were presented in the court, from where four were sent to jail and the minor to juvenile home. Investigation revealed that the murder conspiracy was hatched due to old rivalry and status on internet media.
During interrogation, the accused told that the 7.65 mm pistol was provided by Pawan Rajbhar, a history-sheeter of the police station area, while the 315 bore pistol was collected by Deepak and a child molester. On this basis, Arms Act has been increased in the case. According to the police, the named accused Vinay Kumar and the history-sheeter Pawan Rajbhar who gave the weapon are currently absconding, efforts are being made to search for them.
Police said that on the day of the incident, Sudhir had gone to the playground to teach his neighbor Golu to ride a bike. Meanwhile Dayanand, Hrithik and Uday reached there. Dayanand fired two shots from very close range, Sudhir died as soon as the first shot was fired, while the second shot was fired in the air. The pistol was kept with him, but it did not fire. Police say that the evidence is strong and soon the absconding accused will also be arrested.
Silence in Garhwa village, life under police guard
Even after the expose of Sudhir murder case and arrest of five accused, the atmosphere in Muderi Garhwa village has not become completely normal. There is silence in the streets of the village and the presence of police is clearly visible at every intersection. The playground of the Cooperative Inter College, which was once bustling with youth, is still deserted. The youth who run and the elderly who walk have not come to the field for many days.
According to the villagers, there has been some relief from the arrest, but there is apprehension regarding the two absconding accused. People are coming out of their homes less. The center of conversation is still the same incident. There is talk in every street that how the dispute that started on internet media turned into a bloody conflict. The elders of the village say that earlier there used to be minor disputes between children, but now the internet media has given a dangerous turn to the disputes. The police have deployed additional forces in the village as a precautionary measure. Patrolling is being done day and night so that any kind of anger does not flare up again.
There is silence there after the earlier vandalism at the houses of the accused. Many houses are locked. The family members have gone to relatives' place. Local people say that Sudhir's murder has shocked the entire village. The murder of a student, who was interested in studies and sports, in broad daylight has created fear among the parents. Police claim that after the arrest of the absconding accused, the situation will become completely normal. At present there is tense peace in the village.
