Dharmesh Awasthi, Lucknow: In Indian culture, seven cities and seven rivers are considered mokshadayini i.e. extremely sacred. Now seven divine and grand entrance gates will be built in Lucknow, which will have attractive, grand and unique cultural features in themselves. Just seeing the gate as soon as you proceed on the respective route will make you feel like a religious city.

The proposed Surya Dwar on Ayodhya road will shine with gold carvings on pink sandstone and the symbol of the bow and arrow will remind the virtue of Lord Shri Ram. Lucknow Development Authority has come into limelight by building Rashtra Prerna Sthal under Basant Kunj Scheme with Rs 230 crore, now Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has again given it a big responsibility.

LDA will get this construction done with the funds of Corporate Social Responsibility i.e. CSR. About Rs 35 lakh will be spent on each gate. A pillar with Ashoka's statue in brass will be built on the interstate border.

It will have traditional architecture and lotus shaped stones. LDA Vice President Prathamesh Kumar said, the route and venue have been decided, all seven entrances will be ready this year itself.

Sangam Gate on Rae Bareli Road

The Sangam Gate has been imagined as a symbol of the spirit of Maha Kumbh. It will have pillars inspired by the Gupta period's Shankargarh temple Garhwa, murals depicting the churning of the ocean, Amrit Kalash symbolizing the Mahakumbh, waterbodies depicting Triveni and a world of flowers.

Ganga Gate on Sultanpur Road

Ganga Gate will be the center of devotional symbol of Varanasi. Pillars inspired by Trishul and Kashi Vishwanath Corridor, stone murals depicting the world famous Ganga Aarti, fountains giving darshan of Mother Ganga and flowering plants will create a unique atmosphere.

Surya Dwar on Ayodhya Road

Surya Dwar will appear as a shining gateway of glory and devotion. Pillars with peaks inspired by the Ram temple, a stone mural depicting the Ram temple and a fountain with a bow and arrow will be a sight to behold. Also attractive flowers will be decorated.

Vyas Dwar on Sitapur Road

Naimisharanya is famous throughout the world as the abode of 88 thousand sages and as Chakra Tirtha. The statue of Lord Vyas, Chakra etc. will be seen in Vyas Dwar. Sandstone will be used in its construction.

Dharma Dwar on Hardoi Road

‘Dharma Dwar’ will be built on Hastinapur Marg (Hardoi Road). In the war of Mahabharata, Lord Shri Krishna and Arjuna will ride on the chariot and the religious flag will be hoisted on it. It will be made of white marble.

Krishna Dwar on Agra Road

‘Krishna Dwar’ will be built on Mathura Marg (Agra Road). In this, flute and peacock feathers will be seen which reflect the beauty, harmony and divine grace of Lord Shri Krishna, for this sandstone with painted finish will be used.

Shaurya Dwar will be on Unnao Road

Shaurya Dwar will give you a glimpse of the bravery of Rani Laxmibai and the bravery of Bundelkhand. The warriors of Central India will be introduced through the saber and shield. It will be carved out of sandstone in fortification style with designs of warriors.
