Jagran correspondent, Supaul. Now people will not have to visit the office for land related documents and records. Now the land owner will get only a digitally signed copy of all these records and documents. This will be issued through the land records portal which will be valid as a certified copy. The Revenue and Land Reforms Department has abolished the physical system of issuing verified copies of revenue records.

While issuing the order, the departmental secretary has informed the collectors of all the districts including Supaul about the new arrangement. Earlier, for this, applicants had to obtain a receipt for obtaining a copy of the revenue records. For this, one had to fill complete details including name and address. A nominal fee also had to be paid for this. After this the applicant had to appear in person. Then they got the records.

A new system has been implemented to save land owners from this problem. Now they will get rid of the hassle of frequent visits to the office. This digital copy will be valid in banks, courts and everywhere else. Land owners can get it by applying from the land records portal. Other documents related to land including Jamabandi, Khatian, Khesra, Filing Khari etc can also be obtained. If any record is not available online then the land owner can also demand for it which has to be made available immediately.

Revenue officers will listen to public complaints on Monday and Friday
