Teenager Had Gone Out To Catch Pigeon, Blood Soaked Body Found On JP Ganga Path In Patna; Severe Head Injury

Jagran correspondent, Patna City. On Thursday evening, police recovered the body of a 13-year-old teenager near the basement of Paya No. 112 of JP Ganga Path of Alamganj police station area and sent it to Nalanda Medical College for post-mortem.

The teenager has serious injury marks on the back of his head. Prima facie the police suspect that the death occurred due to falling from the bridge.

In the evening, the police received information from local citizens that a teenager had fallen in a pool of blood near the basement. Police arrived on information and picked up the teenager and took him to NMCH.

The doctor declared the teenager dead. Alamganj police station incharge Rahul Kumar Thakur said that the deceased has been identified as Akash Kumar alias Ladoos, son of Bhukku Kumar, resident of Southern Lane of Alamganj police station area.

He lived with his father in a rented house at Pappu's place in the same street. Police said that the deceased had serious injury marks on the back of his head.

Prima facie it is suspected that the teenager died after falling from Marine Drive. Police said that the cause of death will be clear only from the post-mortem report.

The maternal uncle of the deceased teenager told that his mother had passed away. Father is a labourer. He was the youngest among three brothers. While playing, he had gone towards the Ganga path to catch a pigeon. He probably died due to head injury caused by hitting the pillar.
