Jagran correspondent, Mirzapur. On Saturday, at around 11 am in the general bogie of Magadh Express going from New Delhi to Islampur, a teenager suffered serious eye injury when the nozzle of a fire extinguisher installed in the compartment suddenly sprayed between Jhingura and Pahada stations. As soon as the nozzle sprayed, the bogie filled with smoke, causing panic among the passengers.

Panicked passengers stopped the train for ten minutes by pulling the chain. After this, when the train reached Chunar station, the injured teenager was taken down and admitted to Varanasi Trauma Center. Chief Public Relations Officer of North Central Railway Prayagraj Shashikant Tripathi said that on receiving the information, the guard went and saw that the teenager was lying injured.

After landing at Chunar, he was given first aid at the Railway Hospital. After this the train was dispatched. Passengers said that the teenager was sleeping with his feet on the fire extinguisher when the nozzle got sprayed and he got injured.

RPF Inspector Rajeev Rana said that 16-year-old Anand Mohan, a resident of Sargaon of Noorasarai police station in Jehanabad district of Bihar, was going from Delhi to Islampur in a general bogie. He runs a tea stall in Delhi.
