Vikram Singh Rawat, social worker of village Tungoli, said that Aarti Negi, resident of village Manogi, was going towards Nakot Bazaar on a scooty via Khandkari-Tingri-Jagethi motor road on Saturday afternoon. When she reached near Tingri village, Guldar attacked her. Due to this attack his scooter went out of control and fell. When Aarti shouted, nearby villagers reached the spot, due to which Guldar ran away towards the forest. It was fortunate that Aarti was not seriously injured.

Meanwhile, on Friday evening, resident of Amar Dev Uniyal was returning home by car after closing his shop from Garu, Tungoli, Nakot market. Guldar pounced on his car near Sunrise Public School, Nakot.

It was fortunate that there was no damage due to the closed windows of the car. But these incidents have spread panic in the area. According to the villagers, some time ago a bully had hunted cows in village Dandeli. Social activist Vikram Singh Rawat has demanded the forest department to increase patrolling in the area.

As soon as information about the incident was received, a team was immediately sent to the spot. The department is continuously patrolling the potential areas. Villagers are also being made aware about protection from wild animals. Apart from this, focus lights and trap cameras have also been installed in probable areas.
