Jagran correspondent, Roorkee. The terror of stray dogs continues from the city to the rural areas. A woman was attacked by a dog. He got 15 stitches in his hand. Here, on Monday, anti-rabies injections were given to about 100 patients in the Civil Hospital.

People are in panic due to the menace of stray dogs in Civil Lines, Adarsh ​​Nagar, West Ambar Pond and Ramnagar and other places of the city. Dogs are attacking people every day. Last week, two bikers were bitten by dogs in separate incidents.

A bike rider lost control and fell and suffered a fracture in his hand. Ravindra Kumar was attacked by a dog that entered his house in Ibrahimpur village. He had about ten stitches in his leg. On Saturday afternoon, 42-year-old Rekha, a resident of Roorkee, who was working in the fields, was attacked by a dog.

The dog scratched the woman's hand at many places. He reached Civil Hospital and got ARV installed. If we look at the statistics of the injection room of the Civil Hospital, it also reflects the terror of stray dogs.

On January 5, around 140 people, 95 on Six, 67 on Seven, 56 on Eight, 78 on Nine and 140 on January 10 were administered ARVs. However, patients who got the second and third dose were also included in these. Even on Monday, patients reached the hospital to get this injection.

After Sunday holiday, Civil Hospital opened on Monday and there was a rush of patients. There was a queue of patients till noon to get the prescription made. Especially patients suffering from cold, cough and fever are reaching the hospital. Doctors examined these patients, gave them medicines and also gave necessary advice. Crowd of patients was also seen in OPD.
