On the behest of the arrested accused, his other accomplice is being searched. The police also recovered the clothes and cutter machine of the accused worn on the day of theft. After interrogating the arrested accused, he was produced in the court by the police on Tuesday. SP Awadhesh Dixit gave this information in a press conference in the Collectorate premises. He told that the arrested accused is Deepak Rai, resident of Betawar Kala village of Jamnia police station area of ​​Ghazipur district of UP. Who had stolen jewelery from a temple in Mau district of UP. In this case, he came out of jail last November. After coming out of jail, he searched for jewelery in temples through internet media. During this time he came to know that there is a necklace in Thawe temple. After that, he along with one of his henchmen did a recce of Thawe temple on the night of 11th December. After doing Reiki, he found a way to escape from the police by watching Khaki web series. Along with this, he along with his henchman reached Thawe temple on bike and committed the theft on 17th December. He also switched off his mobile. So that the police cannot get any input. SP Awadhesh Dixit said that after the incident of theft in the temple, as soon as the police started investigation towards UP, it was found that Deepak Rai had stolen from a Shitla temple in Mau. The method of theft was also like that of Thawe Temple. In such a situation, the police started tracking him. The police have recovered the cutter and the clothes worn on the day of the incident from the arrested accused. Besides this, a raid campaign is being conducted in UP under the leadership of Sadar SDPO for arrest and recovery of jewellery.
