Now a bench of three judges of the Supreme Court will hear the assembly membership of six former Chief Parliamentary Secretaries (CPS). On Monday, a hearing on this matter was held in a three-member bench headed by Supreme Court Chief Justice Surya Kant. This bench included Justice Dipankar Dutt and Justice Jayamala Bagchi.
High Court had given orders to remove him from the post of CPS
Himachal government has challenged the decision of the High Court in the Supreme Court. The State High Court had given its decision in the year 2024 on the petition of Kalpana Devi and BJP MLAs. The High Court had ordered the removal of CPS Kishori Lal, Sundar Singh Thakur, Mohan Lal Brakta, Ram Kumar Chaudhary, Ashish Butel and Sanjay Awasthi from their posts.
Hearing will be held on March 16
On behalf of BJP MLA Satpal Singh Satti, his advocate requested for an early hearing on the matter, on which the Chief Justice bench said to constitute a bench of three judges for the hearing. The next hearing of the case has been fixed for March 16.
