The Chill Increased! Weather Changed In Moradabad, Mercury 10°C, Bonfire Arrangements Limited

Jagran correspondent, Moradabad. As the effect of winter is increasing, continuous changes are being seen in the weather. The sun was not visible on Saturday morning, due to which there was a possibility of rain or changed weather throughout the day. However, around 12 noon the sun came out and people got some relief.

Despite this, the effect of cold was more in the morning and evening. The minimum temperature was recorded around 10 degrees Celsius, but melting was felt more due to cold winds. After 5 pm the cold became more intense, due to which people were forced to hide in their homes.

Now people are using more and more warm clothes to protect themselves from cold. In the morning, two-wheeler riders were seen wearing jackets, gloves and caps. Earlier, where a large number of people used to go for morning walks, now their numbers are continuously decreasing.

In many areas including Ramganga Vihar, Ashiana, Himgiri, Deendayal Nagar, Kashiram Nagar, the enthusiasm of morning walkers is not the same as before. The number of players practicing in the morning has also reduced in Sonakpur Stadium. Now players are seen practicing mostly in the evening. Fog has also started setting in during the night, although the fog remained light on Saturday morning.

Limited arrangement of bonfires and night shelters

Despite increasing cold, the Municipal Corporation has currently made arrangements for bonfires at only five places. Both men and women are burning bonfires in the district hospital, railway station, old roadways and in Peetal Basti itself. The corporation claims that from December 15, bonfires will be arranged at other places as per requirement.

A temporary night shelter has also been set up in the roadways complex, where needy people are spending the night. According to the Meteorological Department, the temperature may remain between 9 to 10 degrees Celsius in the coming five days. The effect of snowfall on the mountains is visible in the plains, due to which the cold is likely to increase further.
