Jagran correspondent, Meerut. For easy and cheap justice, it is necessary to establish a High Court bench in Western Uttar Pradesh. There are two benches of the High Court in different provinces. A large number of cases are pending in Allahabad High Court. People face a lot of difficulty in covering such distances. Additional time and money are also spent. Even after decades of agitation the demand has not been fulfilled.

On Wednesday too, a historic bandh was observed on the call of the Central Struggle Committee demanding the establishment of a High Court bench in Western Uttar Pradesh. The bandh in Meerut got the support of about 1200 organizations. In 20 out of 22 districts of the West, the advocates observed a complete strike by stopping work, whereas in Shamli and Bijnor they only boycotted work.
