Jagran correspondent, Meerut. A carelessness of the family took the life of a two year old innocent girl. Actually, the family members had gone to a wedding ceremony in the village, leaving the girl sleeping at home. A candle was burning near the bed. When the family members returned after two hours, the room was on fire. The girl was burnt alive in the fire.
On Thursday, the victim's relatives performed the last rites of the girl. This tragic accident happened late on Wednesday night in Badkali village of Daurala area. Laborer Rajneesh told that he had gone to attend a wedding ceremony in the village along with his wife Rani, sons Karan and Arjun. Two year old daughter Naira was sleeping in the house. Due to power cut, a candle was lit near the cot.
This apprehension is being expressed
It is feared that the burning candle might have fallen and the things lying around caught fire. Gradually the fire reached the girl's bed. Due to the bed catching fire, the girl also got trapped in it. When the relatives arrived after about two hours, they were shocked to see the fire. They somehow controlled the fire, but by then the girl had died.
On receiving the information, a crowd of villagers also gathered. There is mourning in the family after the incident. The victim's relatives performed the last rites on Thursday without informing the police. Daurala Inspector Suman Kumar Singh says that the police is not informed about the incident.
