Rs 295 crore will be spent on construction of road from Navgachia to Housing Board Colony and Rs 111 crore will be spent from Housing Mod to Chaudharydih. Apart from this, Rs 7 crore will have to be paid to the electricity department as supervision charges for electricity pole and wire shifting.

According to the National Highway Engineer, this project will not require NOC from the Forest Department. Road construction work will begin in June and is targeted to be completed in 18 months. During this time, work will be done from one side keeping the traffic flowing. A four-lane road will be constructed from Navgachia to Chaudharydih along with a four-lane bridge parallel to Vikramshila Setu.
