The Identity Of The Greenfield Four Lane Road Till Munger-Mirzachowki Will Change, The Work Will Be Completed By June; NH 80 Will Become NH 33

Jagran correspondent, Bhagalpur. The name of the 125 km long greenfield fourlane NH 80 under construction from Munger to Mirzachowki will be changed. This four-lane road will be known as NH 33. When the four-lane work started three years ago in 2023, it was named NH 80.

Now its name has been changed to NH 33. The construction of the road started in four parts. But due to the lazy working style of the road construction agency and NHAI officials, the project could not be completed on time.

The 98 km four lane being built in Bhagalpur, which is to be ready by 2024, will be made operational by June. Starting from Munger, this greenfield is being built in 26 kilometers till Khadiya Pipra village. Whose cost is Rs 981 crore. Construction of the package was to be completed by August 2024.

Now the work will be completed in June 2026. Only about 65 percent work has been completed. In package-two, a 29 kilometer road is being built from Khadiya village to Purani Sarai of Bhagalpur bypass. The work was to be completed by March 2024. 85 percent work has been completed. Which will be started by March.

In Package-3, a 32 kilometer road is being built between Chaudharydih and Rasalpur. Nearly 65 percent of the work on the four-laning of this part, which was built at a cost of Rs 1012 crore, has been completed. The work, scheduled to be completed in April 2024, is now likely to be completed by June 2026.

73 percent work on Package-4 has been completed. A road is being built from Rasalpur to Mirzachowki. Four lane work is being done in 36 kilometers at a cost of Rs 892 crore. The work of Package-4 was to be completed by August 2024. Now it is said that the work will be completed by June 2026. NHAI Project Director Manish Kumar said that the work will be completed by June.
