Jagran correspondent, Gurdaspur. Late on Monday night, a young man shot himself at Chai Churi restaurant located on Gurdaspur-Amritsar National Highway. It is being told that the owner of the young restaurant is Manpreet Singh. After receiving information about the shooting, DSP City Mohan Singh along with SHO Sadar reached the spot and admitted the youth to a private hospital, where doctors described his condition as critical.
Giving information, DSP City Mohan Singh said that he had received information that there was firing in the restaurant. When they came and saw that the restaurant owner Manpreet Singh had been shot in the shoulder. He has been admitted to a private hospital in Gurdaspur in injured condition. The DSP said that people nearby told him that the youth had shot himself, but it is being investigated whether the bullet was self-inflicted or fired by mistake.
