The maximum temperature reached 31.6 degrees Celsius on Monday. This is 7.2 degrees more than normal. Earlier, only in the year 2017, till 16 February, the maximum temperature had reached more than 30 degrees Celsius. According to the forecast of the Indian Meteorological Department (IMD), there may be some drop in the temperature on Tuesday night and Monday. After that the temperature will increase again.
Except for February 2, so far this month the daily maximum temperature has been above normal. It has increased significantly since February 9 and the temperature is remaining above 26 degrees Celsius. The minimum temperature on Monday was one degree lower than Sunday. The minimum temperature was recorded at 10.1 degrees Celsius, which is 0.9 degrees Celsius less than normal, but due to clear sky and sunshine during the day, the temperature increased by more than three degrees Celsius.
IMD says that there will be fog in the morning on Tuesday, after that it will be light and the entire sky may be cloudy till afternoon. There may be light rain on Wednesday. After that the temperature will increase again. This means that much change in the weather is not expected in the coming days.

Delhi's air remains in poor category even on Monday. On Sunday, the air quality index of the capital was 216 i.e. in the poor category. There was some increase on Monday and it was recorded at 261. According to Sameer App of the Central Pollution Control Board, in the evening the AQI remained more than 300 i.e. in the very poor category at nine places out of 38 pollution monitoring centres. At the same time, the air was bad at 22 places and moderate at eight places.
