Entertainment Desk, New Delhi. Kannada superstar Yash's much-awaited film 'Toxic' is getting embroiled in controversies one after the other. The 2 minute 51 second teaser of the film has already created a stir on social media over the scenes shown inside a car between Yash and a woman. Now the women's wing of Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) has also requested the Commission to direct the state government to remove the teaser of 'Toxic'.
However, the controversy over this gangster drama film 'Toxic: A Fairy Tale for Grown-ups', directed by Geetu Mohandas, has not stopped here. Social activist Dinesh Kallahalli has filed an official complaint with the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) over the "obscene, lascivious and morally objectionable" scenes shown in the teaser. Read in detail below what he wrote in the complaint letter sent to the Censor Board:
The scenes are excessively vulgar and obscene
According to a news in Hindustan Times, the social activist has written in his complaint addressed to Censor Board Chairman Prasoon Joshi, "Some of the scenes in the teaser are extremely obscene, sensual and vulgar. This teaser is being circulated on social media without any age restriction, which is also being watched by children and youth. This content is legally unacceptable and socially harmful."

He further argued that the content of 'Toxic' violates constitutional limits. According to him, the Honorable Supreme Court has always held that obscene and sexually explicit material should not be given any form of protection in India.
Demand raised to review the trailer of 'Toxic'
Dinesh Kallahalli, citing the Cinematography Act, 1952 in his complaint, also said that whatever film, trailer and promotional material is being passed by the Central Board of Film Certification, it should be done keeping in mind the decency, morality and social responsibilities. In this complaint written to Prasoon Joshi, the social activist has also requested that the Censor Board should review the trailer and take whatever steps are considered necessary. He has also requested to ban the circulation of Toxic's teaser. He has demanded to take legal action against the film's director, producer and anyone associated with this film.
The teaser of 'Toxic' was released on Yash's birthday (January 8). While fans liked Yash's action and swag, allegations of "objectifying" women have added to the film's troubles. This film is going to hit the theaters on January 19.
