Many media reports, including eyewitnesses, are claiming that more than 3000 people have been killed in Iran. This is considered to be the biggest massacre ever to have happened in Iran.
Khamenei's army opened fire
According to the New York Times report, people working at the hospital said that the security forces started open firing on the protesters. Most protesters were unarmed. Many people died during the firing. Thousands of people have been injured by shrapnel and bullets. Fractures in the heads of some protesters were also seen.
The Human Rights Center in Iran quoted a doctor as saying that a large number of people were injured. It is extremely difficult to ascertain the total number of injured. But, the situation has become quite dire and deadly.
Pile of dead bodies in Tehran
The Iranian government has banned mobile connections, including internet and international phone calls, for the past several days. However, many videos from Iran have surfaced on social media, in which piles of dead bodies are seen outside the mortuary.
The dead bodies were packed in body bags and kept on the streets. There are screams of family members everywhere. People are searching for their loved ones in the pile of dead bodies.
3000 dead including security forces
The New York Times reported in its report that most of the dead included common people who belonged to poor families. The exact figure of the dead has not been revealed yet.
A senior Iranian health ministry official told local news that 3,000 people have died across the country. Many security personnel are also involved in this. The death toll is expected to increase.

According to a nurse in Tehran, 19 injured people were admitted to the hospital within 1 hour. Everyone has been shot. At the same time, the doctor of Shohada Hospital said that many protesters had died by the time they reached the hospital. All were shot in the head at very close range. At the same time, the bullets pierced the throat, lungs and heart of some protesters, due to which they died.
