State Bureau, Lucknow. An investment of Rs 3.5 thousand crore will soon be made in the defence-industrial corridor. For this, preparations are being made to allot one thousand acres of land to investors. Jhansi, Aligarh, Chitrakoot and Lucknow nodes are becoming the choice of investors.
Goodluck Astra Company will invest Rs 1,000 crore on 247 acres of land in Jhansi. Also, Redwood Hughes is preparing to invest Rs 700 crore on 247 acres of land. Not only this, companies like Citadel and Gravity have also proposed investment for manufacturing defense and related equipment.
Proposed investment of Rs 672 crore
Apart from this, investment has been proposed in Aligarh Phase-2 node by companies like Spacechem, Maral and G-1 Offshore for manufacturing of chemical and defense equipment. Whereas in Chitrakoot node, Bharat Electronics Limited has proposed an investment of Rs 672 crore on 209.95 acres of land.
IG Drones has proposed to invest Rs 100 crore in the drone technology sector. At the same time, companies like Nexa Mumbai, Indraprastha and Promotech have also given investment proposals in the Defense Node located in Lucknow.
