There Will Be No Change In The Second Corridor Of Agra Metro, Trains Will Run On The Yellow Line Only.

Jagran correspondent, Agra. Like New Delhi, there will be no change in the metro lines in Agra. Trains will operate only on the Yellow Line in the second corridor of the metro. Earlier Red or Blue Line was being considered. But, the team of Uttar Pradesh Metro Rail Corporation (UPMRC) will not make any changes now.

The second corridor of the metro is being built 16 km long from Agra Cantt Railway Station to Kalindi Vihar. The 14 km long first corridor is from TDI Mall Fatehabad Road to Sikandra Tiraha.

There will be a 30 km long metro corridor in the city. Trains are operating on the Yellow Line in the first corridor. The Yellow Line makes it easier for passengers to identify the metro. Red Line is operating in Lucknow, Orange Line in Kanpur, Blue Line in Noida.

There are other lines including Red, Blue, Yellow in New Delhi. UPMRC was to use Red or Orange Line in the second corridor of the metro. Like the first corridor, only the Yellow Line will be used in the second corridor.

Joint General Manager Public Relations Panchanan Mishra said that 26 have reached the yard located at Metro Commissionerate. Six metros will reach soon. The metro is being operated in the testing track built in the yard. Metro trials are going on in the up line from Mankameshwar station to ISBT station.

Down line testing will start soon. Testing will begin in the second corridor of the metro from June this year. This test will take place from MG Road to Agra Cantt Railway Station.
